Overview
VisionScreens is a desktop church presentation application. It runs entirely on your computer. The developer operates no server, no backend, and has no access to your data.
The only feature that communicates with an online service over the internet is Google Slides import, which connects to Google’s servers to read presentations from your Google Drive. VisionScreens also includes an optional NDI output feature, which broadcasts video/audio to other devices on your local network (see below). All other features work entirely offline.
Information We Collect
Google Account Information
When you use the Google Slides import feature and sign in with Google, the app receives your Google account email address. This is used only to identify which Google account to authenticate with. No other Google account information (name, profile photo, contacts, etc.) is accessed.
No Other Data Collection
VisionScreens does not collect analytics, usage data, crash reports, or any other telemetry. No information about how you use the app is transmitted to the developer or any third party.
How Your Data Is Stored
On your computer: All playlists, presentation files, preferences, and imported content are stored locally on your computer. The developer has no access to this data.
The developer does not operate any server or database. Your data never passes through any system controlled by the developer.
How We Use Your Data
Your data is used solely to operate the features you see in the app. VisionScreens does not use your data for advertising, profiling, analytics, or any purpose beyond displaying and presenting your content.
Google Slides Import
When you use the Google Slides import feature, the app connects to the Google Drive API and Google Slides API to read presentations from your Google Drive. Specifically:
- The app requests read-only access to your Google Drive files.
- Presentation content is downloaded to your computer for local use within the app.
- No presentation data is stored on any server controlled by the developer.
You can revoke the app’s access to your Google account at any time via your Google Account permissions page.
By using the Google Slides import feature, you also agree to Google’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
NDI Output (Local Network)
VisionScreens optionally supports NDI (Network Device Interface), which lets you broadcast the app’s video/audio output over your local network to other devices or software (e.g. video mixers, recording software, other computers on the same network) using the NDI SDK.
- NDI output is disabled by default and only active if you enable it.
- Video/audio is sent only on your local network — never over the internet, never to the developer or any third party.
- No personal data is included in the NDI stream; it contains only the presentation output (video/audio).
- Any device that can discover NDI sources on your network may be able to view the stream. Use appropriate network security (e.g. trusted/private networks) if this is a concern.
Data Sharing
Your data is not sold, rented, or shared with any third party, with one exception: the Google Slides import feature communicates with Google’s servers as described above. Google’s handling of data is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
No other third-party SDKs, analytics tools, advertising networks, or crash reporting services are used in this app.
Your Rights and Data Deletion
- Delete local app data: Uninstall the app and delete any files it created on your computer.
- Revoke Google access: Go to Google Account permissions → find “VisionScreens” → Remove access.
After deletion, the developer retains no copy of your data.
